END THE DEMAND FOR THE SEX TRADE.

The business of human trafficking is just that. A business. Hence it exists because there is a demand. The demand may be for cheap labour, domestic servants, human organs or sex. This is evident especially in the case of sex trafficking. In that realm, the demand is provided mainly by one sex - Men!

Therefore, in order to eradicate sex trafficking, we must address the mindset and value systems of men.

Please visit the End the Demand - The Search for True Masculinity website which addresses the demand side of the commercial sex trade to help reshape the thinking of men towards sex, females and all forms of violence against women and girls.

We also invite you to use our custom built "True Masculinity" app which is now available for  Android devices.

COMBATING ACES TO PREVENT HUMAN TRAFFICKING.

As a result of the wide range of activities in which we and our member agencies engage, CURB knows there is a connection between adverse childhood experiences and later criminality and victimisation.

Research shows that such traumatic incidents, if not addressed, can dramatically increase a person's vulnerability, including to engaging in crimes and to being a victim of crime.

Specific research also shows young people with 4 or more ACEs are more likely to become victims of sex trafficking than other minors.

Through networking with State agencies and civil society organisations, we are committed to making a dent in the number of potential perpetrators and victims of the crime of human trafficking through identifying and addressing childhood traumas.
