SEXUAL EXPLOITATION

From research it conducted in the Caribbean in the early 21st Century, the International Organisation for Migration identified that human trafficking for sexual exploitation occurs in many countries in the region.

FORCED LABOUR

The International Organisation for Migration also identified that there were many Caribbean countries in which human trafficking for labour exploitation had occurred.

DOMESTIC SERVITUDE

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

The trafficking of persons (primarily women and children) for exploitation in domestic servitude was the third major form of human trafficking identified by the International Organisation for Migration.

ACES & RESILIENCE

Primary Prevention of Human Trafficking requires the use of a multi-disciplinary approach across all of society.

This will include the early identification of the effects of childhood trauma, and the development of resilience in vulnerable persons.

CAMPAIGNS

A campaign to empower men and boys to end the demand for commercial sex and all forms of violence against women and girls
